I was team Jameson from the start so I'm happy with the progress we made here, especially since Grayson was practically avoiding her through out the book. Nearby water and rescued by a fisherman, along with Avery's mom who turned out to be Kaylie's sister. A thunderstorm that night caused lightning to strike the home. Gasoline all over the place, except he didn't quite go through with it. However it was Toby who had planed to burn down the family home and poured The fire was blamed on the town girl Kaylie, due to her criminal past.that's kinda effed up. Avery finds out Toby was in a fire for which he was declared dead along with his friendsĪnd a town girl. We meet Grayson's father, Scheffield, who turns out to be a total dick to his own son. Them they just seem so grumpy, and angry, understandable but still. We find out Toby was actually adopted from the Laughlins. Read about them discovering everything and putting the pieces together. Like an escape room, where you have to go through almost everything, behind picture frames, under the bed, floorboards, even invisible ink. When they search his room, it almost feels I really did assume he was gonna be her dad, like it makes the most sense. Our new mysterious relative, thatīecomes our new game. I wish I could be Avery, like imagine just getting filthy rich overnight, ugh I wish! Anyway, lets talk about Toby. Much I missed those! Plus it was a nice break from all the New Adult stuff I've been reading. 😂 Like it even has a love triangle, am I back in 2013?
